FREELANCING FROM LUCKNOW

What Lucknow is known for, and what it means for your bid.

Lucknow is the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Its IT sector is growing and it has a large pool of graduates. Many freelancers there are building their first group of overseas clients. At that stage the quality of each proposal matters far more than how many you send.

Web & software development

What clients screen forA finished project in the same stack, and some sign that you read the technical brief properly. Clients in this category have often been let down by a developer who said yes to everything.

How we open the proposalName the stack and the hardest part of the brief in your first two lines. Link one build that's close to it and say what the first milestone would deliver.

Writing & content

What clients screen forA sample on the client's subject, in their tone. Editors treat the first paragraph of your proposal as a writing test.

How we open the proposalWrite your opening the way the finished piece would read. Link one published sample on the same subject and confirm the word count, sources and turnaround.

Virtual assistance & customer support

What clients screen forReliability, overlap with their working hours and good written English. These clients are hiring for the long term, so they read a proposal for care and aren't looking for flair.

How we open the proposalSay which hours you cover in the client's time zone and name the tools from their brief that you already use. Then describe one process you ran from start to finish for a past client.
