- How we work
- Remotely, online
Bangladesh has a very large and fast-growing freelance community, especially in design, web development and digital marketing. As in Pakistan and India, the hard part is standing out in categories where many profiles look the same and compete on price.
Bangladesh is an hour ahead of Pakistan, so the American working day starts in the Bangladeshi evening and runs past midnight. The practical way out of the low-price end of the market is a bidder who covers those hours and a profile that leads with one specific service.
When clients start work, in Dhaka time.
When clients on the US East Coast start work at 9:00 am, it is 7:00 pm in Dhaka. That's the evening, when most people are finishing for the day. The best jobs go up just when you're least likely to be watching. Our team works on Pakistan Standard Time, which is 1 hour behind Dhaka.
| Client market | Their 9:00 am is | Their 5:00 pm is | For you that is |
|---|---|---|---|
| US East Coast (New York) | 7:00 pm | 3:00 am (next day) | the evening |
| US West Coast (San Francisco) | 10:00 pm | 6:00 am (next day) | the night |
| United Kingdom (London) | 2:00 pm | 10:00 pm | the working day |
| Australia (east) (Sydney) | 4:00 am | 12:00 pm | the night |
Upwork bidders for every major city in Bangladesh.
The cities are grouped by division. Each city page tells you what its freelancers are known for, how that changes the bid and when the main client markets start work in local time.
What a dedicated Upwork bidder does for you.
Picks the jobs first
We agree a written targeting profile with you. It covers categories, your lowest budget, client history and warning signs, and it decides which jobs are worth your Connects.
Covers the hours you can't
Someone watches the feed across the time zones your clients post in, so good jobs get an answer while they're still new.
Writes to the brief
Each proposal opens with the client's problem and the piece of your past work that's closest to it. We don't paste templates.
Shows you the record
We log every proposal, view, reply and interview and go through them with you each week. You see real counts.
Questions people ask us.
Do you work with freelancers and agencies in Bangladesh?
Yes. We work remotely with freelancers and agencies across Bangladesh, including Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Khulna and more. Our team works on Pakistan Standard Time, which is 1 hour behind Dhaka.
Do you have an office in Bangladesh?
No. Improvexus is based in Pakistan and works with clients in Bangladesh remotely. We handle the targeting, the proposals and the weekly reports online. We'd sooner tell you that plainly than pretend to be around the corner.
Do you guarantee jobs?
No. The hiring decision is the client's and nobody can promise it. What we commit to is the work, which means the targeting, the proposals and a weekly record, and we show you what came of it.
