What Galway is known for, and what it means for your bid.
Galway is known internationally for making medical devices, and it has a lively arts and creative community. If you're an engineer or technical writer with medical-technology experience, you're in a narrow niche on Upwork that pays well.
Engineering, CAD & architecture
What clients screen forDrawings or models of the same type, the standards you work to, and the software and file formats you deliver in.
How we open the proposalRefer to the client's drawing or specification directly and attach one similar piece of your own. Confirm units, standards and file formats at the start.
Writing & content
What clients screen forA sample on the client's subject, in their tone. Editors treat the first paragraph of your proposal as a writing test.
How we open the proposalWrite your opening the way the finished piece would read. Link one published sample on the same subject and confirm the word count, sources and turnaround.
Design & branding
What clients screen forA portfolio piece from the client's own industry. Design clients look before they read, so the wrong sample can lose you the job before your first sentence.
How we open the proposalAttach the one piece of past work that's closest. Describe the problem it solved and leave the tools out, then say how many concepts and revision rounds the price covers.
